Create with Silver Precious Metal Clay
Make a wearable piece of art! Learn basic techniques for working with Precious Metal Clay, creative possibilities and unique properties of the medium. Using simple tools form PMC into earrings and a pendant of your own design. After a kiln firing you will have a creation of fine silver. Finishing techniques will be taught, including adding a patina.
Certified Precious Metal Clay instructor Susan Germer has been creating with PMC for five years. Jewelry design has been Germer's main focus over fourteen years, and she has sold her work in galleries and at shows and shops in Montana and San Francisco.
Supplies needed for the class include:
Favorite rubber stamps, old buttons, items to imprint texture (thread, lace, bark, etc.), X-Acto knife, small-pointed paintbrush
Germer will provide one 189 package of PMC per student and tools to use during class. There will be a $35.00 supply fee to be paid directly to the instructor. Extra PMC and tools will be available for purchase.
